Functional Developer (Dynamics 365) Rate: £500 per day IR35 status: Outside IR35 Contract duration: 20 weeks Target dates: 23 November 2026 to 11 April 2027 Hours: 37 per week Location: Mainly remote, with ad hoc office attendance in Lincoln Industry: Public Sector / Local Government About the role Salt Recruitment is recruiting a Functional Developer to support a local authority with the configuration, deployment and ongoing support of Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Contact Centre solutions. You will translate business requirements and solution architect designs into practical CRM and contact centre functionality, delivering improvements across customer service, telephony and automation. Key responsibilities . Configure and support Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Contact Centre solutions in line with business requirements and agreed solution designs . Develop functional CRM and contact centre capabilities covering case management, queues, routing, service level agreements, voice, email and digital customer channels . Configure and support telephony integrations, working with technologies such as Teams Phone, Direct Routing, Azure Communication Services (ACS) and SIP-based voice solutions . Use Dataverse, Power Automate and Power BI to support data management, automation and reporting requirements . Support solution deployments, testing, release management and promotion between development, test and production environments . Troubleshoot issues across CRM, contact centre and integrated services, working with technical teams and business stakeholders to resolve them . Maintain clear documentation covering configurations, processes and support requirements . Ensure solutions align with security, governance and data protection requirements Skills and experience . Experience configuring and supporting Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Contact Centre . Ability to interpret business requirements and solution architect designs, translating them into effective functional solutions . Knowledge of case management, queues, routing, SLAs, voice, email and digital customer channels . Experience with telephony integration, including Teams Phone, Direct Routing, ACS and SIP-based voice solutions . Experience using Power Platform technologies, including Dataverse, Power Automate and Power BI . Experience supporting deployments, testing, release management and the movement of solutions between development, test and production environments . Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder engagement and documentation skills .
