Are You a Functional Skills Tutor Passionate About SEN and Autism?
Are you a qualified teacher with experience in SEN and autism? Are you interested in helping individuals with learning disabilities and autism build essential skills? Perhaps you're an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in your career as a tutor.

You'll deliver Functional Skills English and Maths, expertly embedding employability and life skills. You'll work Monday to Friday, 9-5, with dedicated time each week for planning and administrative tasks.

The program blends education with practical work experience, actively preparing learners for employment. You'll be based in Islington, teaching for three days a week. The remaining two days are dedicated to admin, lesson preparation, and liaising with key stakeholders, such as coordinating with employers, families, or the job coaches who support our young people on their placements.

You must hold either a Level 3 (PTLLS) or a Level 5 (DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent) teaching qualification.

The salary for a Level 3 teaching qualification is £29,798, and for a Level 5 teaching qualification, it is £32,005. If you're successful and don't already hold these qualifications, we'll support you in achieving your Level 3 and Level 5.
