Catch22 College: Maidstone specialises in offering learning and training opportunities for students who, for whatever reason, don’t want to stay in a traditional academic environment. We ensure all learning content is tailored to individual needs, interests and aspirations, and all programmes are designed to complement both vocational and academic learner pathways. Through the programme young people are supported to gain the skills required to progress into apprenticeship training, employment or further education.
We are looking for a Functional Skills Teacher who can create an inspirational learning environment, with high expectations of learner achievement, success, and progression, respecting individual differences in culture and background, and reflecting this in the environment of the classroom.
You'll oversee and co-ordinate the development of your subject area, and prepare and deliver Functional Skills qualifications, from Entry Level to Level 2, that are informed by relevant, and up to date, subject and curriculum knowledge, as required by the curriculum/timetable.
All teachers at the college are responsible for role modelling inclusive learning and the recognition and celebration of diversity. You'll also be responsible for maintaining good order and discipline among the students, safeguarding their wellbeing.
We are looking for someone with the following skills, experience and qualifications:
Contract: Full Time - permanent
Salary: £33,456.00
