Reed Finance Cambridge are excited to be recruiting a Fund Accountant for a leading global venture capital firm. This role is based in the Cambridge office and involves supporting the Senior Fund Accountant with a focus on tax, financial accounting, fund reporting, and fund management, all within a data-driven framework. This position offers a blend of finance, technology, and innovation, providing exposure to high-growth companies.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Accounting & Fund Reporting: Prepare quarterly fund management accounts and audited statutory accounts, maintain track records, review portfolio company valuations, and distribute financial reporting to investors.
• General Fund Management: Manage drawdown and distribution notices, assist with portfolio summaries for investor presentations, and liaise with auditors, lawyers, and bankers.
• Tax: Assist in the production and distribution of annual UK & US tax returns and handle M&A taxation matters.
• Transaction & Portfolio Support: Support sales of quoted stock and provide ad-hoc portfolio support as required.
• Ad-Hoc & Project Involvement: Participate in various tasks and projects as needed.

Candidate Profile:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with 1-2+ years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in audit, fund accounting, or related fields.
• Highly proficient in Excel, data analysis, and financial systems; familiarity with analytics tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Organised and capable of managing multiple deadlines.
