Fund Operations

Fund Operations play a key role in supporting the firm’s operational infrastructure, ensuring the accurate, timely, and controlled processing of critical investment related workflows. The role requires a hands-on approach and close collaboration with Portfolio Managers, third-party administrators, custodians, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Implementation

•Review, interpret and implement detailed investment instructions from portfolio managers and stage within Bloomberg AIM OMS for affirmation and approval.

•Review and authorise secondary verification of colleagues’ portfolio implementation trade proposals.

•Coordinate with brokers, internal dealing team and service providers to ensure post-trade processing of transactions.

•Monitoring and management of trades processed via DTCC CTM & ALERT.

•Direct liaison with third party FX provider around execution and processing.

Operational Oversight & Controls

•Monitor and manage daily cash flows, overdrafts, and funding requirements.

•Perform daily and periodic portfolio reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of breaks with administrators and custodians.

•Oversight and processing of collateral, ensuring accurate reflection within portfolios, outsourced providers and counterparties.

•Monitor and process corporate actions, ensuring accurate reflection in portfolios and communication with stakeholders.

•Oversee and communicate proxy voting and support Portfolio Managers when processing.

•Maintain and enhance operational controls and workflow documentation.

•Assist with oversight of custodians, administrators, and other key service providers.

Data, Systems & Technology

•Support the maintenance and daily operation of OMS and PMA systems (e.g., Bloomberg AIM, Eze PMA).

•Ensure the integrity of reference data, security setup, and static data across systems.

•Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives (including use of Power Automate or equivalent tools).

Reporting & Client Support

•Assist with the production of operational reporting, internal metrics, and regulatory or compliance-driven requirements.

•Assist with financial transaction reporting to both the FCA and SEC

•Support client service teams with operational queries, reporting requests, and data validation.

•Contribute to quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc operational deliverables.

Team & Cross-Functional Contribution

•Work with the Head of Fund Operations to support continuous improvements within the function.

•Provide ad-hoc support across the team to meet business needs and deadlines.

•Foster strong relationships across investment, compliance, risk, finance, and distribution teams.

Experience Requirements

Essential

•Minimum 5 years’ experience within asset management operations

•Experience of portfolio implementation including interpreting trade instructions and implementing via OMS.

•Experience liaising with Portfolio Managers, custodians, administrators, and counterparties.

•Strong background in cash management, trade support, settlement, and reconciliation.

•Proven ability to operate effectively within a controlled investment operations framework.

Desired

•Investment Management Certificate (IMC)

•Experience in proxy voting, corporate actions, and order implementation.

•Familiarity with Bloomberg AIM, Eze PMA, or similar OMS/PMS systems.

•Exposure to multi-asset workflows within a fund management setting.
