Job Description - Fundraising Executive

Do you have a professional background within fundraising but are feeling it’s a time for a change in job? R13 has partnered with an incredible charity who have deep historical roots, proudly supporting them in their search for a Fundraising Executive.

The role is to excitedly lead and develop their client fundraising efforts, driving innovative campaigns and ensuring financial sustainability. £36-£38,000 DOE, Norwich city centre based, M to F 37.5 hours per week.

The day to day

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet financial targets.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and grant funders.
  • Plan and manage fundraising campaigns and events, ensuring strong engagement and success.
  • Write compelling grant applications and funding proposals.
  • Monitor income and expenditure, providing regular reports on performance.
  • Ensure all fundraising activities comply with legislation and best practices.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to embed fundraising initiatives throughout the organisation.

You will have/be

Essential:

  • 3-5 years of experience in fundraising is highly desirable OR corporate/partnerships business development experience may be considered.
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets.
  • Knowledge of the charity sector and its fundraising challenges.
  • Experience managing volunteers and community fundraising initiatives.
  • Public speaking experience and confidence in representing an organisation externally.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to manage multiple income streams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for donor engagement and proposal writing.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, corporate partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget management.
  • Experience in event planning and grant writing.
