FX Global Markets IT - Technical Leadership

Hiring a Technical Manager for a global investment bank to head up delivery and technical leadership for a key cross-asset single dealer platform - focused on FX with roadmap into Rates/algo. This is a senior, hands-off leadership role with ownership of architecture, delivery, and stakeholder management across business and IT. You'll lead distributed engineering teams, shape technical evolution of the platform, and work closely with business stakeholders to deliver front-to-back solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Lead global technology teams (~60 people), including developers, BAs, testers, and tech leads

• Drive platform evolution from FX into Rates and cross-asset trading

• Provide technical direction, architecture oversight, and delivery leadership

• Act as key liaison between IT and business stakeholders - ensuring alignment on delivery

• Guide teams on best practices and support greenfield development projects

• Manage direct reports and oversee contractor-heavy delivery teams

• Proven track record in leading global, cross-functional tech teams in banking/trading environments

• Strong background in architecture and platform delivery - no hands-on coding, but technically credible

• Experience with front office trading systems, ideally single dealer or cross-asset platforms

• Delivered complex greenfield projects into production and supported post go-live

• Confident stakeholder manager with excellent business engagement skills

• A self-starter - comfortable driving technical and functional delivery

• Front-end: HTML5 / JavaScript

• Backend: Java & .NET services

• Global teams with a flat hierarchy and strong tech leads
