Garage Manager Needed in Manchester

• Location: Manchester (Near Oldham)
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm (30-minute break)
• Salary: up to £48,000 per annum + monthly target bonuses

Our client, an Independent Specialist Group, is seeking an experienced and driven Garage Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with leadership skills to take the reins in managing a busy garage and ensure the day-to-day running meets targets while maintaining high-quality service standards. Key Responsibilities for a Garage Manager:

• Manage the daily operations of the branch to meet financial targets and maintain branch quality control
• Problem-solve and support the team in technical and customer service challenges
• Oversee customer interactions, providing face-to-face assistance when necessary
• Manage the team’s workload and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
• Maintain a high standard of customer service and ensure client satisfaction
• Foster a positive team environment and encourage professional development

What We’re Looking For in a Garage Manager:

• Proven experience in managing a garage or similar automotive environment
• Strong leadership skills with a 'leader mentality'
• Technical background preferred, with a solid understanding of automotive systems
• Experience managing teams of technicians (5-6 techs)
• Ability to manage workloads and ensure the team meets targets
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Previous experience in an independent garage is desirable, but dealership backgrounds will also be considered
