We are currently seeking a Maintenance/Gardner to join our client in Yeovil. As a Maintenance/Gardner, you will be responsible for maintaining and beautifying various properties while working in a fun and casual environment. Your main responsibilities will include gardening, cutting grass, digging borders, weeding, repairing sheds and fences, and other general maintenance tasks.

Full Time

Monday to Friday with some weekends.

£26,000 to £28,00 per anumm - depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain grounds keeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge cutters etc.
• Perform lawn care including mowing, edging, aerating, fertilising, and watering.
• Other duties to include pressure washing of driveways and general maintenance.
• Maintain flower beds, shrubs, and trees through planting, pruning, mulching, and weeding.
• Remove rubbish, debris, and litter from grounds, car parks, and walkways.
• Apply herbicides, pesticides, and fertilisers in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Conduct seasonal tasks such as snow removal, salting walkways, leaf collection etc.
• Inspect grounds and report issues such as hazards, pest infestations and defects.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment and compliance with all current safety regulations.
• To work in other areas / operations as required by the needs of our business's

Requirements:

• City and Guilds or equivalent preferred.
• Current spraying licence preferred PA1 and PA6 for knapsack sprayers
• Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a similar role is an essential.
• Ability to operate a variety of grounds keeping equipment and hand tools.
• An understanding of horticulture and landscape maintenance.
• Physical stamina and strength; ability to lift up to 25kg and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Valid driver's licence 25+ to drive company vehicles
