We are seeking an experienced Gas Manager to lead and coordinate a team of engineers operating across West London and the surrounding Home Counties.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of field operations, ensuring maintenance, servicing and reactive works are delivered efficiently, safely and to the required standard. The role will also involve monitoring performance, maintaining compliance and acting as a key point of contact for the client.
Main Duties
* Lead, manage and provide support to a team of mobile engineers.
* Plan and coordinate engineering activities across the designated region.
* Oversee servicing, maintenance and repair works across a range of building services, including:
* Commercial and domestic heating installations
* Pressurised and boosted water systems
* Solar thermal equipment
* Air and ground source heat pump systems
* Ventilation and associated mechanical services
* Review engineer reports, job sheets and completion records to ensure works have been carried out correctly and documented accurately.
* Monitor operational performance and address any issues affecting service delivery.
* Ensure engineering activities meet relevant legislation, industry standards and contractual requirements.
* Produce regular operational, performance and compliance information for senior management and the client.
* Maintain effective communication with engineers, management and customer representatives.
* Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety across all field activities.
* Support the ongoing development and improvement of engineering processes and service standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience supervising or managing field-based engineers or technical service teams.
* A background in mechanical engineering, heating, building services or a related discipline.
* Practical knowledge of gas, communal heating and/or renewable energy systems.
* Experience working within a compliance-focused engineering environment.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities.
* The confidence to communicate effectively with clients, engineers and internal stakeholders.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and operational management.
* A full UK driving licence.
Package
* Salary: £55,000–£60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
