Location: West Midlands / Mobile – North West & Central Regions
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 DOE + structured overtime
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm

Ford Mainwaring is a privately owned business with over 45 years of experience delivering mechanical and electrical installation, maintenance and Facilities Management services across the UK.

The company provides a full range of FM and M&E services, with a strong order book across the prison estate, defence, highways and infrastructure, and education sectors.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Gas Service Engineer to join the team on a mobile basis, covering client sites across the West Midlands, North West and Central regions.

The successful engineer will carry out PPM and reactive maintenance across commercial heating, ventilation and HVAC systems, working with both existing and new clients.

Key Responsibilities

* PPM and reactive maintenance across client sites.

* Service and maintain commercial gas and oil-fired boilers.

* Maintain pumps, AHUs and general HVAC equipment.

* Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs on mechanical equipment.

* Complete compliance and statutory reports in line with Gas Regulations.

* Ensure all work meets Health & Safety requirements.

* Use tablet-based CAFM systems to manage and update jobs.

* Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.

Requirements

* Proven experience servicing and maintaining commercial gas/oil-fired heating and ventilation equipment.

* Current Gas Safe non-domestic qualifications.

* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

* Good knowledge of M&E systems.

* Experience within a commercial, FM or engineering environment.

* Full UK driving licence.

* OFTEC and formal electrical qualifications would be advantageous.
