Gas Service Engineer (Commercial)

Job Description

Our client is looking for a qualified Commercial Gas Engineer to join their growing team.
The role will primarily involve commissioning works across commercial gas and heating systems, with the successful candidate travelling throughout London and the South East. This is a field-based position, so you'll need to be comfortable travelling to different sites on a regular basis.

You don't need to have extensive experience to be considered. The key requirement is that you are appropriately qualified, have some relevant commercial gas experience and are keen to develop your skills further.

The company will provide tools, uniform and all necessary equipment required to carry out the role.

There will also be occasional reactive and remedial works, providing further opportunity to develop your experience across different types of commercial systems.

Key Responsibilities
• Carry out commissioning works on commercial gas and heating systems.
• Attend sites across London and the South East to complete planned commissioning works.
• Test and inspect systems to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently.
• Identify and assist with resolving issues encountered during commissioning.
• Carry out occasional reactive and remedial works when required.
• Liaise with clients, site teams and other engineers while working on live projects.
• Complete relevant commissioning documentation and service records.
• Ensure all works are completed in line with relevant safety and industry standards.
• Travel regularly throughout London and the South East to attend customer and project sites.

About You
The successful candidate will be a qualified Commercial Gas Engineer with some relevant industry experience.
The role could suit someone who is relatively early in their commercial gas career and is looking for an opportunity to develop their commissioning experience.

You will ideally have:
• Relevant Gas Safe commercial qualifications and competencies.
• Some previous commercial gas engineering experience.
• An interest in developing your commissioning skills.
• A basic understanding of commercial gas and heating systems.
• Some experience of reactive or remedial works would be beneficial.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Flexibility to travel throughout London and the South East.
