Service Engineer – Automated Gates

Location: hertfordshire 
Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 per year

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer to join a growing and established team specialising in automated gates and entry systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving, and working with customers to provide high-quality service solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, completing upgrades, installing replacement equipment, and supporting a variety of automated access systems.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnosing faults on automated gates and entry systems.
Carrying out breakdown repairs and servicing.
Completing upgrades, replacements, and small installation works.
Fault finding and repairing:

Automated gates
Barriers
Intercom systems
GSM systems
Access control equipment

Installing replacement parts and equipment.
Providing excellent customer service while working on-site.
Completing work safely and efficiently to a high standard.

Requirements

Previous experience within gate automation, automated entry systems, security systems, or a similar engineering background.
Strong fault-finding and repair skills.
Good mechanical and electrical understanding.
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
Full UK driving licence required.
Must be comfortable travelling to customer sites.
Candidates must be able to drive and have their own transport.
