Gateman/Site Assistant

We're working alongside a well-established construction and engineering company in order to find them a Gateman/Site Assistant for their 400kV substation project in the North Hertfordshire area.

This is a contract role starting ASAP and lasting until 18/12/2026.

This is an outside IR35 role and you MUST have an NSI8 authorisation as it's a live substation project.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the site team with the day-to-day upkeep of the site, including generators and general site housekeeping
Tending the main access gate
Escorting vehicles in accordance with National Grid Safety Rules.
Taking of deliveries
Supporting the Site Management and Supervision teams along with other tasks as and when requested by the Site Manager
Work closely with the Site Management team to ensure a safe and effective delivery of the project
To maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively
