GCSE Year 10 Specialist Tutor

Year 10 1:1 Tutor - Poole

Attention all education professionals!

Prospero Teaching is currently looking for a talented and dedicated Year 10 1:1 Tutor to support a student in Poole (BH15).

As a 1:1 Tutor, you will provide personalised academic support to help a Year 10 student build confidence, improve attainment, and prepare for their GCSEs. Sessions will be tailored to the student's individual needs, with flexible hours available each week. You will also complete brief weekly feedback reports, tracking the student's progress, achievements, and areas for development.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

Location: Poole (BH15)
Position: Year 10 1:1 Tutor
Subject: English, Maths and/or Science (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Contract Type: Part-time
Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
Hours: Flexible

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

The following are desirable but not essential:

QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience teaching or tutoring Year 10/GCSE students
Experience working within a UK educational setting
Up-to-date Safeguarding training (within the last 12 months)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Have the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
Provide two professional references relating to work with children
Have at least one year's experience working within an educational setting
