About the Role

We are looking for dedicated and adaptable General Cover Teachers to join our team, providing support across a range of secondary schools in Derby and the surrounding Derbyshire areas.

This is a flexible role ideal for qualified teachers who want to fit work around their own schedule. You choose the days you’re available, and we’ll match you with suitable cover opportunities.

You’ll be responsible for supervising classes and delivering pre-prepared lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects and key stages using provided plans.

Maintain a positive classroom environment and manage behaviour effectively.

Support students’ learning and uphold high expectations for achievement and conduct.

Adapt quickly to different school settings and classroom environments.

About You

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

Experience teaching in UK secondary schools.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Reliable, professional, and flexible approach to work.

Passionate about supporting young people’s education.
