General Foreman Construction

Our client is one of the largest privately owned construction companies in the North East and have been involved in some of the Norths most iconic projects.

Having previously worked on major projects, the non-working General Foreman will be responsible for managing the performance of operatives and subcontractors, ensuring programme deadlines are met, managing health and safety standards, identify potential hazards and proactively implement actions and controls and making sure they are upheld on site, provide suggestions and recommendations for Temporary Works solutions, keeping site diaries, daily allocations sheets, plant sheets, issue permits etc, giving daily briefings and conduct inductions and toolbox talks.

To qualify, you will have previous experience in the delivery of high profile projects involving earthworks, deep drainage, reinforced concrete construction, tank installations and hard landscaping to ensure that customer expectations are exceeded and enhanced experience for all involved in the scheme.

You will be a solution orientated individual, with ability to analyse risks and benefits of options to resolve identified issues. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills and possess a CSCS card along with SMSTS
