General Foreperson

• Delivery of site inductions, daily site briefings and safety briefings to framework contractor site personnel covering appropriate health, safety and environmental topics and ensure records of briefings are maintained

• Ensure that all works are properly planned and carried out in safe and controlled manner and in a cost-efficient manner

• Coordinate vehicle and plant movements on site ensuring pedestrian segregation

• Promote a healthy safety culture on site, challenging behaviours and promoting good practice

• Coordinate deliveries of materials to site and maintain site security

• Support Site Agent and Engineers in the planning of upcoming works, ensuring adequate labour, plant and materials are available to deliver the works in line with the programme

• Coordination of framework contractors’ construction activities on site ensuring interfaces are adequately managed

• Review productivity on site and support Site Agent and Planner with programme 

• Maintain adequate site records inclusive of daily diaries, quantities of works completed and photographic evidence

• Support Site Engineers with completion of Inspection and Test Records

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Construction industry experience
• Previous water industry experience
• Experience of working on large complex sites
• Experience of supervising sub-contractors
• Understanding of engineering principles and construction techniques

• Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
• Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Supervisors Card
• EUSR National Water Hygiene Standards ‘Blue Card’
• First Aid at Work
• New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) Supervisors
• Full UK Driving Licence
