General Maintenance Operative

Aka Recruitment are proud to be working with a fantastic local client of ours to bring you this exciting Cleaner / General Maintenance Operative position based in Holmfirth. Working within a busy and well-established business, you will be joining a friendly and supportive team where your contribution will be valued. This is part time position, with hours covered over 3 days. Hourly rate is in line with national living wage

Job Duties Include:

• Carry out daily cleaning duties across offices, workshops, customer areas and welfare facilities.


• Ensure all communal areas, toilets and kitchens are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.


• Complete routine maintenance tasks including basic repairs, painting and general upkeep of the premises.


• Carry out regular inspections of the site to identify maintenance issues and report any larger repairs.


• Maintain outdoor areas including litter picking, sweeping and general tidiness.


• Ensure cleaning supplies and maintenance equipment are stocked and stored safely.


• Operate cleaning equipment and machinery safely and effectively.


• Assist with moving furniture, setting up workspaces and supporting other departments when required.


• Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.


• Respond promptly to any maintenance requests and prioritise work effectively.


• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment at all times.

Requirements:

• Previous experience within a Cleaning, Facilities or General Maintenance role is preferred.


• Practical maintenance skills with the ability to carry out basic repairs.


• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.


• Good organisational and time management skills.


• Ability to work independently and use initiative.


• Positive attitude with a reliable and hardworking approach.


• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.


• Full UK Driving Licence would be advantageous.
