Job Description - General Manager

Job Title: General Manager
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)
Term: Permanent. Full Time
Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

RecruitAbility are looking for an experienced General Manager to join their client’s fast growing business based in Welwyn Garden City. If you have a minimum of 3 years experience as a General Management of a gym and the passion and drive that goes with it, then I would love to hear from you.

The Role of General Manager:

To oversee all aspects of gym operations
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety
Recruit, train and supervise all staff
Ensure that there is adequate staff cover during all operating hours
Manage all aspects of the financial budget
Develop strategies to increase profitability
Payroll
Develop and implement strategies to attract new members and maintain current members

To be considered for the role of General Manager:

A minimum of 3 years experience in gym general management, including managing wet areas eg, pools, spas and saunas.
Strong understanding of gym operations, including equipment maintenance, and health and safety standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
The ability to think on your feet and a passion to grow the business.

The Package for General Manager:

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Pension
25 days holiday (excluding bank holidays)
Performance related bonus
Complimentary gym membership
