General Manager

We’re working with a well-established client who is looking to appoint a General Manager to oversee both site and office operations. This is a pivotal role for someone confident in leading teams, managing staffing issues, and making fast, effective decisions on the ground.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full responsibility for the day-to-day operations across the site and office

• Act as the primary decision-maker for operational and staffing matters

• Manage staff schedules, performance, and any HR-related issues on-site

• Ensure smooth coordination between departments and report regularly to senior leadership

• Maintain compliance with industry regulations and health & safety standards

• Drive continuous improvement across operational processes

• Maintain a strong presence both on the ground and in the office

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in a general management or senior operational role

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to take decisive action

• Experience in fast-paced, industrial, waste, or logistics environments preferred

• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills

• Able to balance strategic oversight with hands-on involvement

• WAMITAB

• CIWM

• COTC
