General Manager - The Role:

As General Manager, you’ll be responsible for strategic leadership and daily operations, reporting directly to the Board. You'll oversee project delivery, team management, client relations, and commercial performance — ensuring the business continues to grow while maintaining the highest standards.

General Manager - Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage all aspects of the business, including operations, engineering, and commercial performance

- Shape and execute strategic growth plans in line withGen company goals

- Maintain and strengthen key client relationships, including DNOs, IDNOs, and major contractors

- Ensure delivery of projects to time, budget, and regulatory standards

- Develop internal talent and maintain a positive, high-performing company culture

- Represent the business externally to clients, suppliers, regulators, and industry bodies

- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and industry standards

General Manager – You:

- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering

- Significant leadership experience in the electrical engineering, power, utilities, or related sectors

- Proven success managing and developing long-term client relationships

- Direct experience working with DNOs, IDNOs, or similar regulated organisations

- Strong commercial awareness and experience managing P&L, contracts, and risk

- Track record of managing technical teams and complex project portfolios

- Knowledge of HV/LV infrastructure, substations, or ICP activities (desirable)

- A strategic mindset with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach
