General Manager – Manufacturing & Commercial Operations

Salary: £60,000 + Bonus Scheme

TN Talent Recruitment are working with an established engineering business in Nottinghamshire to recruit an experienced General Manager to oversee manufacturing operations and support the company's continued growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded manufacturing leader who combines strong operational experience with the ability to develop customer relationships, improve profitability and identify new business opportunities.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business, leading manufacturing teams, driving operational improvements and contributing to the company's long-term commercial strategy.

The Role

Lead manufacturing operations, ensuring production, quality, cost and delivery targets are achieved.

*

Manage and develop teams across production, engineering and commercial functions.

*

Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency and cost reduction.

*

Develop existing customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.

*

Oversee budgets, financial performance, margins and profitability.

*

Manage production capacity, supply chain performance and capital investment.

*

Work closely with senior leadership to develop and deliver business growth strategies.

About You

We're looking for an experienced manufacturing professional with a strong engineering background and the commercial awareness to help drive a successful business forward.

Ideally, you will have:

Senior management experience within precision engineering, CNC machining or engineering-led manufacturing.

*

Proven experience leading manufacturing operations and managing teams.

*

Commercial experience involving customer relationships, sales growth or business development.

*

A good understanding of budgets, P&L, cost control and profitability.

*

Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, proactive approach.
