Position Overview

The General Manager (GM) is the driving force behind day-to-day operations and the culture of the store. As GM, you are responsible for leading a passionate team, maintaining operational excellence, delivering an exceptional guest experience, and achieving financial targets. You model PLANT SHACK values through hands-on leadership and ensure every shift is smooth, efficient, and uplifting—for both team members and guests.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Hire, train, and lead a high-performing, service-minded team.
• Establish clear goals and coach team members to reach their potential.
• Cultivate a warm, inclusive, and dynamic workplace culture.

Operations Management

• Oversee daily operations of the coffeeshop, juice bar, and grab-and-go areas.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards.
• Manage inventory, ordering, vendor relations, and staff scheduling.

Customer Experience

• Ensure all customers receive warm, friendly, and efficient service.
• Lead from the front—engaging with guests and resolving issues in real time.
• Champion customer satisfaction and retention initiatives.

Financial & Business Performance

• Drive revenue, optimize costs, and manage labor to meet or exceed budget goals.
• Analyze reports to track performance and implement improvement plans.
• Coordinate local marketing and community engagement opportunities.

Brand Stewardship

• Uphold PLANT SHACK’s visual and experiential brand standards.
• Maintain the ambiance and energy of the space.
• Serve as a brand ambassador in-store and in the local community.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3–5+ years of experience in a management role in coffee, juice bar, hospitality, or retail food environments.
• Proven leadership experience in high-traffic, fast-paced operations.
• Strong people management and team-building skills.
• Solid understanding of cost control, inventory, and business reporting.
• Customer-focused with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Passion for plant-based wellness, sustainability, and community.
