General Manager (Recycling & Waste)

Are you an experienced operations manager looking for your next challenge?

We're looking for a hands-on General Manager to lead a busy recycling and waste operation, overseeing transfer station activities, skip hire and metal recycling while driving safety, efficiency and commercial performance.

The Role

Lead day-to-day recycling and waste operations
Manage operational teams and site performance
Drive health, safety and environmental compliance
Improve productivity, profitability and recycling rates
Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and regulators

About You

You'll have:

Experience in waste management, recycling, scrap metal or a similar operational environment
Strong leadership and people management skills
Knowledge of UK environmental and health & safety regulations
IOSH/NEBOSH (preferred)
A proactive, commercially focused approach
