General Practice Accountant

iMultiply is working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Glasgow that is looking to recruit an experienced accountant to join its team

The Company

A reputable and highly regarded independent accountancy firm based in central Glasgow. The practice is well established with a loyal and longstanding client base.

The Role

The core aspects of the role are financial accounts preparation and managing client relationships. There will also be supervisory responsibilities for junior colleagues and some flexibility within the role dependent on the successful candidates skillset and interests.

Day to day you will be responsible for;

• Preparation of financial accounts for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships
• Managing client relationships
• Overseeing and mentoring trainees within the team
• Preparation of Management Accounts
• Review of VAT returns as prepared by junior members of staff and finalisation of these
• Assisting clients with MTD issues and dealing with them on cloud accounting packages

To be considered for the role you will ideally have;

• Minimum of 4 years experience obtained within an accountancy practice
• Excellent technical accounting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with accounting software including Cloud packages
• Part Qualified ACCA or a 'qualified by experience' accountant

On Offer

The position of Accountant offers a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 depending on your experience. ACCA study support is also on offer if required.
