General Production Operative

Location: HD9 HONLEY
Hours: 7.30AM-4.30PM

£12.71 per hour - temp to perm contract - 37.5 hours weekly

About the Role

We are looking for a General Production Operative to join our clients team. You will be responsible for basic manual operations working with chemicals in a basic process, preparation of materials, basic stock control, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

* Apply compounds accurately and efficiently.

* Prepare and load work for daily and weekly production.

* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workstation.

* Complete end-of-shift and end-of-week close-down procedures.

* Handle, store, and dispose of chemicals safely in line with COSHH requirements.

* Carry out weekly stock checks and report shortages.

* Complete effective handovers and support colleagues when required.

* Assist with training new team members where necessary.

* Use IT systems

About You

You will have:

* Experience in a production environment - not warehousing or logistics - and in easy commute of HD9 Honley area

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

* Good organisational and time-management skills.

* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* A responsible and reliable approach to work.

* A basic understanding of chemical handling and COSHH would be an advantage.

* Basic IT skills and communication skills.

* A willingness to learn and take ownership of your work.
