Generator Engineer

Generator Engineer required. My client is an established supplier of UPS systems and Generators to a wide range of customers across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are currently looking to recruit a number of experienced Generator Engineers. The ideal candidate will come from an Electrical service background, be experienced with Diesel Generators and Deepsea controls and will be prepared to travel with the role.

• Attend customer sites across the UK (hospitals, data centres, and office buildings) to undertake planned maintenance and repair work on Diesel Generators
• Fault find and repair to module level on analogue/digital power supplies and power quality equipment
• Provide breakdown and technical support to colleagues and customers alike, over the phone and in person
• Undertaking repair, maintenance and upgrade works on Electrical systems (Predominantly DeepSea Control Panels)
• Covering customers sites across North London, Essex and Cambridge

• Previous experience in the service, maintenance and repair of Diesel Generators
• Experience installing and commissioning Diesel Generators and associated equipment
• Able to install, fault find and upgrade DeepSea controls
• Previous experience working on both AC and DC systems
• City & Guilds 18th edition and City and Guilds 2391 desirable
• ECS Card
• Based locally to Essex, Luton, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds or Watford
• Full Driving licence
• Prepared to travel with the role

• Salary £40,000 - £45,000 DOE
• 1 in 5 call out rota & Overtime available at time and a half / double time
• Company Van
• Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 17:00, Friday 08:30 - 14:00
• 33 days holiday inclusive of public holidays
