Geography Teacher – Lead Studies on Urban & Rural Transition and Drive Fieldwork Skills Across All Key Stages – Braintree

A high-achieving secondary school in Braintree (Essex)
is seeking an experienced and analytical Geography Teacher with expertise in Human Geography, particularly focusing on urban and rural transition, from January 2026.

• Seeking a specialist to lead the development of Human Geography topics, utilizing the local area for relevant case studies and fieldwork.

You will teach Geography across KS3-KS5. The role includes planning lessons that develop complex analytical skills related to population, economic change, and land use, preparing students for challenging university courses. A key part of the role is organizing and leading mandatory fieldwork.

Experience and Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Geography.


• Proven ability to secure high grades at A-Level Geography.


• Extensive experience in planning and leading safe and effective fieldwork.


• Willingness to contribute to academic enrichment programs, such as geographical debate clubs.
