Job Description - Geospatial Engineer

Geospatial / Geomatic Solutions Account Manager – Yorkshire / Northeast Region (Home based role) - £40,000 - £50,000 + Bonus (up to 30%) + Car or Allowance + Benefits!

About the Job:
Global market leading provider of Surveying, Measurement and Positioning equipment / technology solutions for the construction and surveying sector now seeks to recruit a Land Surveyor / Setting Out Engineer / Civils Engineer or Construction Engineer to join their Account Management function for the North East region (primarily Yorkshire).

This position is perfectly suited to someone who "is on the tools" but is now looking to pivot into a more commercial role where you can still use your technical knowledge and feel safe in the knowledge that full training will be provided on the commercial and account management aspects of the role. The role itself will involve managing customer accounts within the North East region (primarily Yorkshire), further developing existing relationships with a number of targeted, strategic and named major customer accounts within the region.

Put simply, the client is looking for someone with the technical knowledge and they will train the commercial and account management skills.

What we are looking for:
Proven knowledge of Geospatial / Geomatics or mobile mapping technologies including 3D Laser Scanners, Lidar, GNSS, Total Station, Drones / UAV, Terrestrial Scanners, 3D Surveillance, gained working in a Land Surveyor / Topographic Surveyor / Setting Out Engineer / Civil Engineer or Construction Engineer type role.
Excellent Interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and hold relationships and interface at all levels. Any direct experience of account management would be ideal but is not essential
A willingness to undertake business travel (domestic travel within the North East region - primarily Yorkshire - will be required for this role)
A commitment to continually develop your skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
Managing existing strategic and named key accounts.
Developing relationships to continue expansion within existing accounts, identifying new target clients and/or submarkets to break into.
Maintaining first rate customer service levels
Promoting / championing the company’s technical expertise and promotion of product and service USPs.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to maximize market share and also fulfil the customers’ needs.
Working with the technical support function to ensure that customer training and support requirements are met.
