About the role
We are looking to recruit a talented and motivated

Geospatial Pre-Sales Consultant

to join our Product Management Team. Formerly known as thinkWhere, our geospatial team are now proud to be part of the Idox Geospatial Division and are at the leading edge of cloud delivery for web mapping and pioneering GIS software and data as a service. Using globally leading geospatial technologies, this is a team which is passionate about applying GIS and geospatial data to improve and innovate what our customers do.

As a Geospatial Pre-Sales Consultant you will have a broad set of responsibilities. You will take a proactive role with customers, understanding their business processes, capturing requirements, building and delivering product demonstrations, researching trends, shaping solutions and providing pre/post sales technical support for our products. You will be expected to work in collaboration with our software development, data management, product management, sales and marketing teams to support customer engagement, product roadmaps and realising the opportunities for sales growth.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the expansion and use of GIS by our customers, internal and external, as well as contribute to future product and service development. You’ll work on your own initiative and bring new ideas to continuously improve what we do.

Key Responsibilities
Provide pre-sales technical support to existing and prospective customers
Gather and analyse customer business needs and technical requirements
Lead pre sales engagement activity focused on GIS and geospatial technology products
Provide geospatial product demonstrations and presentations
Proposing realistic solutions to customer geospatial challenges
Assisting with the development of technical proposals and bids
Working with product management teams to shape product roadmaps driven by customer insight
Collaborate with other internal teams to deliver high impact solutions
Staying abreast of key industry trends and identifying target opportunities
Adherence to Idox Information Security policies and protocols.

To be successful, you’ll need to have:
At least 3 years practical experience working with GIS products and services
Applied knowledge of geospatial data management
Experience of providing customer-focused services
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team
Good planning and organisational skills
Excellent problem solving and analysis skills
Ability to manage your own workload.
Ability to generate new ideas and solutions
Aptitude for learning and applying new technologies.

Additional desirable qualities:
or Technical Qualification in GIS, related discipline or transferable skills
of pre-sales consultancy.
