A specialist geotechnical consultancy based in Birmingham is looking to expand its close-knit technical team with the appointment of a Geotechnical Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, highly regarded consultancy where you will gain hands-on exposure to projects from initial site investigation through to detailed geotechnical design and reporting.

The company works across a range of residential, commercial and infrastructure developments and can offer tailored training, direct mentorship from senior engineers and a clear route for progression within the business.

The Role

Assisting with and supervising ground investigations
Soil and rock logging to current industry standards
Preparing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports
Undertaking geotechnical analysis including foundations, retaining walls and slope stability
Liaising directly with clients, contractors and subcontractors
Supporting project delivery from tender stage through to completion
Carrying out site visits and overseeing drilling operationsRequirements

Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline
Previous consultancy or ground investigation experience preferred
Understanding of geotechnical principles and site investigation techniques
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Motivated individual looking to progress within a specialist consultancy environment
