German Credit Controller

German-Speaking Credit Controller - Dudley (Office-Based)
Salary: DOE

We're working with an established international group based in Dudley who are looking for a fluent German-speaking Credit Controller to join their Shared Service Centre. This role has come up due to growing activity across their European ledgers, and you'll be supporting their German debt portfolio day to day.
You'll be chasing overdue debt, resolving queries, raising legal paperwork where needed, and getting stuck into process improvements across the wider finance function. It's a varied role that offers lots of ownership in a supportive, collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the German sales ledger and chase overdue payments
• Raise dunning letters, credit notes, and legal documentation
• Resolve customer queries and follow up with internal teams
• Allocate cash, maintain the ledger, and run debtor reports
• Carry out credit checks and support with invoice generation
• Work closely with stakeholders to keep things moving smoothly
• Play an active part in improving credit control processes
• General admin and reporting tasks as needed

Candidate Attributes and Skills:

• Fluent in both German and English (written and verbal)
• 5+ years' experience in high-volume credit control
• Hands-on experience chasing German debt (including legal cases)
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or Shared Services environment
• Good Excel skills; knowledge of AX, D365, and Access is a bonus
• Strong attention to detail, customer-focused, and commercially aware
• Valid passport required (some travel may be needed)
