German Speaking Buyer
Location: Colchester, Essex (45 minutes east of central London by train)

Our client is a well-established international trading company, supplying specialist industrial equipment to leading companies across a wide range of industries worldwide.

They are now seeking a German Speaking Buyer to join their international team. This role involves managing product enquiries and orders from clients, as well as working closely with suppliers to source goods and ensure timely delivery.

• Research and engage with new and existing vendors
• Obtain and evaluate pricing and quotations from suppliers
• Negotiate pricing and terms of business with suppliers
• Prepare quotations and proposals for customers
• Place and manage purchase orders
• Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery
• Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics teams to meet quality and delivery standards
• Carry out Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tasks.

• Fluent in German and English (spoken and written). Additional language skills—particularly Italian or Arabic—are an advantgae but not essential
• Strong administrative skills and experience working in a customer-facing role
• Previous experience in purchasing, buying, logistics, or shipping is advantageous, but not essential
• Excellent communication skills, particularly over the telephone
• Well-organised with attention to detail and the ability to multitask
• Must have full right to live and work in the UK - visa sponsorship is not available.

• Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-13:00 and 14:00-17:00 (37.5 hours per week). Flexibility may be required
• Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus public holidays

• Own transport is required for travel to and from the Colchester office.
