An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Global Resettlement Commissioning Support Officer to join our Strategic Commissioning team at Hampshire County Council.
Are you looking for a challenging and diverse role working as part of a friendly and supportive team, with an opportunity to make a real difference?
The Global Resettlement Commissioning Team is central to ensuring that people relocating to Hampshire via government funded schemes can access the services and support they need. Through partnership working, market oversight and contract management, the team helps secure positive outcomes for residents and communities.
Hampshire has an established resettlement programme that brings together partners across central and local government, contracted providers and VCSE organisations to deliver government-funded schemes locally as part of a wider national response supporting individuals and families through safe and legal routes.
The resettlement landscape continues to evolve in response to global events, humanitarian need and national policy, requiring local services to remain adaptable, coordinated and responsive. Current work includes the UK Resettlement Scheme (UKRS) and the Afghan Resettlement Programme (ARP).
Working closely with the two Commissioning Officers, the wider Older Adults Strategic Commissioning Team, commissioned service providers and the 11 District, City and Borough Councils, you will help coordinate the day-to-day delivery of Hampshire’s resettlement schemes. Your role will help ensure activity is well organised, accurately recorded and supported by clear evidence.
We are looking for someone with strong organisational, analytical and relationship-building skills, alongside commissioning and/or contract management experience, who is confident working across multiple systems, partners and workstreams.
The role is based in Winchester one day a week on a set day, with hybrid working for the remainder of the week and occasional travel across the county when required.
Hampshire County Council is recognised nationally as one of the highest performing local authorities in the UK. A modern, forward-looking local authority, it offers a pleasant, supportive, and collaborative working environment.
Hampshire County Council is also a flexible employer interested in making the most of your skills and offers a great work life balance. We invest in you through our internal development programmes and training and offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
