Job Description - Global Engineering Manager - Manchester

Role: Global Engineering Manager
Type: Permanent
Pay: £90,000 per annum
Hours: 7AM/9AM – 3PM/6PM Mon-Fri
Location: Manchester

Are you an experienced Engineering Manager looking for your next opportunity? I’m currently representing my global manufacturing client who have a need for their Manchester site who are looking for an experienced Global Engineering Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

Global Engineering Manager
Job Description

Lead design and development of high-performance fluid and gas systems for mining and industrial applications.
Manage Engineering and Project Engineering teams to deliver R&D, lifecycle, engineer-to-order, and standardisation projects.
Collaborate cross-functionally to engineer and document solutions using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with international standards.
Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation (BOMs, GAs, P&IDs, O&M manuals) for manufacturing.
Drive multiple concurrent product development projects with strong project management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement.
Spearhead product standardisation, cost-reduction strategies, and global engineering collaboration to optimize products and processes.

Global Engineering Manager
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Substantial engineering experience in mining or heavy industrial sectors.
Proven management of multi-disciplinary, multi-location engineering teams.
Expertise in fluid pumping and heat management systems for industrial applications.
Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, SAP/ERP, and PLM/PDM tools.
Strong leadership in international, cross-functional environments with a track record in complex projects.
Fluent in English, Manchester-based, with local and international travel to engineering hubs.
