Job Description - Global Head of Talent Acquisition & Development

Job DescriptionSummaryOur global Talent Acquisition and Development (TA&D) team provides the most effective and efficient solutions for talent attraction, recruitment, selection, performance management and development for BGC Group, Cantor Fitzgerald and Newmark including all associated entities, across all levels of the firm.This role will be accountable for the recruitment cycle as well as the talent development and DEI strategy for all employees across the group. This role will successfully combine strategic planning and management with operational aspects to demonstrate value add delivered by the team.This role will manage a team of over 12 people across London, Hong Kong, India and New York. The role will have dual reporting line to the Global Head of HR and Group Head of HR for EMEA & APAC.Key responsibilities:Talent Acquisition Build a cost effective and efficient global, diverse talent acquisition model that meets geographical and business needs across BGC Group and Cantor Fitzgerald and all its affiliates.Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the talent acquisition lifecycle such as; agreeing sourcing strategies, candidate management, scheduling and interviewing, guidance and advice to line management, supplier liaison and management and finalising terms of offer within agreed approval processesDrive effective partnerships with global stakeholders to understand their individual needs and challenges and provide tailored talent acquisition support.Develop and implement initiatives to enhance line management hiring decisions including, appropriate assessment tools, DE&I and management toolkits, delivery of market analysis and insights.Constantly evaluate the needs of the firm and assist in determining the right staffing solutions.Continue to drive the implementation of Oracle recruit cloud and automation of recruitment processes.Drive a healthy source mix for hiring and provide quarterly MI to global stakeholders and global HR leadership teamEarly CareersDevelop and continue to build upon the existing early career strategy for region-wide (Europe & Asia) including early career recruitment policy for the front and back office incorporating the diversity and inclusion strategy.Partner with peers and business leaders on strategic initiatives to enhance the firm’s early career activities and to deliver impactful candidate experience.Oversee the strategy of selecting universities and schools to partner on engagement model and early career activities, including coordination and execution of events and marketing activities.Oversee the management of the entire early career programmes including, attraction strategy, programme management including delivering training and development, placements, events, and full-time offers. Ensure a high-quality experience for all early career participants.Travel to and attend early career events and conferencesTalent DevelopmentGlobal lead to develop and implement a comprehensive talent development strategy across the firm.Ensure talent development interventions are regionally appropriate and tailored.Facilitate talent development interventions at all levels of the firm including professional skills, team effectiveness and leadership sessions.Ad hoc facilitation as required. Manage and liaise with external vendor partners including SOW negotiations, engagement, and materials.Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content and ensure the delivery of high-quality learning experiences.Drive the annual performance management cycle across the group, the ability to facilitate 9 boxes and succession planningDiversity & InclusionOversee the Diversity and Inclusion team to enhance employee experience by working with individuals at all levels to implement and further develop D&I initiatives that promote diversity, inclusivity, engagement, and growth.Responsible to oversee and support embedding the D&I, culture and engagement strategy across various initiatives and projects, spanning D&I, culture & values, employee engagement, and other bespoke initiatives internally.Oversee and support relevant internal committees (e.g. affinity group Steering Committees such as the Network of Women or Board-Reporting Committees such as the Engagement & Inclusion Committee).To support the Director of D&I and navigate, engage, cogitate upon a broad range of views and opinions across all levels of the firm.To support the Director of D&I with a variety of DE&I initiatives. Experience within financial services, working in a regulated environment with the knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements.
