Global KYC Associate

A prestigious investment firm, with circa $55Bn in assets under management, is looking to hire a knowledgeable KYC Associate to bolster their Global KYC team in London.

The firm offers bespoke solutions to a wide-ranging group of clients, hence attention to detail is crucial in this role. The KYC Associate will be responsible for interacting with a multitude of third parties in relation to the management of clients’ portfolios, prioritising and completing multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines.

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Review different client legal structures and associated KYC documentation.
2. Assist with the organisation and maintenance of client KYC documentation and folders.
3. Populate and develop internal client information databases and tax reporting (CRS/FATCA).
4. Support the compliance team with client data cleanups & AML remediation exercises.
5. Monitor KYC documentation and ensure regular document refreshes are carried out as required.
6. Ensure regulatory and compliance rules are adhered to, especially around KYC and AML.
7. Assist the Client Services team with client AML/KYC queries.
8. Perform key controls such as PEP and Sanctions screening, vetting the positive and false positive alerts and recording the information in the relevant system for on-going monitoring.
9. Be responsible for ensuring all information security processes, policies and procedures are adhered to and any issues or concerns are raised with the Cyber Security team.
10. Ensure full compliance with all local data protection regulations and privacy controls, and any related issues are raised via the appropriate channels.

Skills & Experience:

1. Good knowledge of, and interest in, Anti Money Laundering, financial crime and associated financial regulation.
2. Comfortable working with detailed documentation, and the ability to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
3. Articulate self-starter with excellent communication skills.
4. Highly organised and able to prioritise daily workloads whilst working efficiently and accurately under pressure. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced investment environment.
5. Flexible, entrepreneurial approach and an appetite for challenge.
6. Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel / Outlook.
7. Have a high degree of integrity and professionalism, be a collaborative ‘team player’ with empathy for colleagues and clients.
8. Comfortable receiving and providing feedback.
