Global Payroll Country / Regional Lead - Germany
Fully Remote | €71,850 - €80,800
Portfolio Payroll are delighted to be supporting a leading global HR and employment technology business in the search for an experienced Global Payroll Country / Regional Lead - Germany to join their Implementation team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to take ownership of end-to-end global payroll implementations, acting as the subject matter expert for Germany and supporting customers from initial implementation through to their first live payroll.
Working within a truly international environment, you'll combine your technical payroll expertise with implementation, project management and client-facing responsibilities, while also helping to improve processes and payroll technology.
Key responsibilities
Lead end-to-end payroll implementations, from customer kick-off and project planning through to parallel runs, go-live and handover to Payroll Operations.
Act as the payroll subject matter expert for Germany, providing guidance on legislation, processes and technical requirements.
Manage customer and internal stakeholder relationships, ensuring projects, decisions and procedures are clearly documented.
Develop and improve payroll processes, implementation plans and procedures to drive accuracy and efficiency.
Support and mentor Payroll Generalists working across implementations.
Work alongside Product and Software teams on UAT, platform improvements, automation and process development.
What we're looking for
Extensive German payroll experience within a client payroll, bureau, outsourced or similar environment.
Expert Germany payroll legislative knowledge
Strong end-to-end payroll implementation and project experience.
Excellent client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong payroll systems knowledge, alongside experience with reconciliations and process improvement.
A proactive, analytical approach with an interest in technology, automation and AI.
Fluent English is essential
