We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Global Wealth Controls Manager.

You'll be part of a team whose objective is to control and minimise risk within the Discretionary Investment Proposition that is run and implemented by Asset Management and also has responsibility for individual client alignment to the Centre of Excellence models distributed to International Wealth and Personal Banking. 

This is a highly numerical data driven role and involves managing the investment risk surrounding financial models. These models require daily, weekly and quarterly assessment to prevent errors and to rectify them by conducting periodic reviews, trigger events and remediation activities.

In this role you’ll:

• Provide independent oversight of discretionary investment management activities to ensure they are executed in line with approved mandates, policies and client requirements


• Support the effective operation of the Wealth Controls framework across Asset Management, delivering robust risk oversight, issue identification and management information to support governance and decision-making 


• Ensure the delivery of all aspects of Wealth Controls in Asset Management on behalf of International Wealth and Personal Banking is continually evolving in scope


• Collaborate closely with investment, operations, risk and governance stakeholders across Asset Management and International Wealth and Personal Banking

To be successful in this role you should meet the following essential requirements:

• Awareness of Financial Services as a sector, especially related to Investment products.  Investment qualifications such as IAQ or IMC would be a bonus


• University educated in a highly numerical subject, i.e. Economics, Accounting, Maths etc including an advanced Excel (VBA) level


• Demonstrate strong communication skills and possess the professional confidence to engage with colleagues at all levels, including senior leaders


• Really good time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks where a high degree of detail is required
