Are you an experienced Build to Rent operations leader ready to take the helm of Manchester's most prestigious residential development? I'm working exclusively with a market-leading BTR operator to find a dynamic General Manager who will set the standard for premium urban living.

The Opportunity This is your chance to lead from the front in the rapidly expanding Build to Rent sector. You'll have complete operational and budgetary accountability for this flagship Manchester development, driving performance while creating an exceptional living environment that residents are proud to call home.

While this is initially a 12-month fixed-term contract, there are excellent prospects for permanent opportunities within this growing portfolio - the right candidate could become integral to their expansion plans.

What You'll Be Doing

• Taking full operational and financial responsibility for this high-end residential development
• Leading a motivated team to deliver consistently outstanding resident services and satisfaction
• Managing all aspects of building performance including occupancy rates, revenue optimisation, and cost control
• Creating vibrant resident communities through strategic engagement initiatives and events
• Ensuring absolute compliance with all health & safety and regulatory requirements
• Developing and managing annual budgets while driving operational efficiency
• Implementing robust KPIs and reporting systems to monitor and improve performance
• Building strong relationships with residents, addressing concerns, and maintaining premium service standards

What You'll Bring

• Essential Build to Rent experience with proven success in BTR operations or management
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and driving financial performance in residential environments
• Natural leadership abilities with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams
• Deep understanding of the BTR model including occupancy management, resident retention, and ancillary revenue streams
• Experience in regulatory compliance and health & safety management within residential developments
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Passion for delivering exceptional resident experiences and creating vibrant living communities
