Goods In Operative (Forklift)

Location: Enfield
Salary: £27,464 per annum + benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 4.00pm
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Overview:
Our client, a well-established food production and distribution business based in Enfield, seeks a dependable and detail-oriented Goods In Operative (Forklift) to join their warehouse team. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment, looking to join a supportive and stable team.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately receive, check, and book in all deliveries ??
Ensure goods received match delivery paperwork
Label received stock with correct “Best Before” dates
Store pallets in the correct locations, with a focus on stock rotation and use-by dates
Load and unload vehicles safely ??
Distribute goods to the appropriate areas or personnel
Use handheld scanners and electronic WMS to process stock
Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and passed to the relevant departments
Assist with general warehouse duties as required

Requirements:

Valid Counterbalance and Reach forklift licenses (essential)
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Good communication and basic computer skills
Ability to follow processes and accurately check deliveries against paperwork
Experience with handheld scanners is advantageous
Familiarity with WMS systems (e.g. Orderwise) is a plus
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical warehouse environment
Able to work well under pressure and use initiative
Good understanding of Health & Safety practices
Physically fit – some heavy lifting is required ??

Working Environment:
This role is based within a warehouse environment and involves both desk-based and physical duties.
