Goods-In Inspector Competitive Salary: £30,000–£33,000 Location: Aldershot, Hampshire
Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm

Goods-In Inspector – Quality | Aldershot Are you someone who takes pride in spotting the details that others miss? Do you have experience in quality inspection, warehouse operations, stock control, or a similar environment?

An excellent opportunity has become available for a Goods-In Inspector to join a well-established and growing business supplying promotional merchandise across the UK. This is a hands-on quality role where you'll play a key part in ensuring products meet the highest standards before reaching customers.

The Role As a Goods-In Inspector, you'll be responsible for inspecting incoming goods, customer returns, and suspect stock to ensure products meet quality standards before they are released for sale, production, or dispatch.

Working closely with the Warehouse, Purchasing, Production, and After Sales teams, you'll help identify quality issues, maintain accurate inspection records, and support continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities
Inspect incoming goods, materials, and customer returns for quality and accuracy.
Verify product specifications, quantities, packaging, colours, and documentation.
Compare products against approved samples and specifications.
Record inspection findings, photographs, and quality reports.
Identify and quarantine non-conforming products.
Carry out product sampling using approved inspection methods where applicable.
Support supplier quality investigations and corrective actions.
Collect inspection samples from local warehouse locations.
Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure compliance with company quality procedures.About You You'll have a keen eye for detail and enjoy working in a role where accuracy and consistency are essential.

You'll ideally have:

Experience in quality inspection, goods-in inspection, warehouse operations, stock control, or a similar role.
Excellent attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills and confidence using spreadsheets and digital records.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Confidence to identify and escalate quality concerns.Desirable experience:

Experience with AQL inspections, ISO quality systems, supplier quality processes, or within manufacturing, printing, promotional merchandise, retail, or wholesale environments would be advantageous
Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
