Location: Goole
Contract: 6-Month Contract
Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week
Rate: Up to £19.72 per hour (dependent on experience)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Goods Inward Inspection Supervisor to join a busy manufacturing and supply chain operation in Goole. This role will provide operational leadership to a team responsible for ensuring all incoming materials meet quality standards, specifications and engineering requirements before being released for production.

Working within a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment, you will play a key role in maintaining material availability, managing quality issues and supporting production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support a team of goods inward inspectors within the warehouse operation.
Ensure incoming materials are inspected against quality standards, specifications and engineering drawings.
Manage material release and quarantine processes to support production requirements.
Investigate and resolve material quality concerns and non-conformances.
Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve quality and availability issues.
Produce KPI reports and analyse performance data to drive improvements.
Ensure accurate system management of materials and inventory status.
Support calibration and management of inspection and testing equipment.
Drive continuous improvement and promote a strong safety culture across the team.

Essential Experience

Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within warehouse, logistics, supply chain or manufacturing operations.
Strong understanding of quality inspection processes and quality standards.
Experience investigating non-conformances and supporting root cause analysis.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Experience within warehousing operations and material management environments.

Desirable Experience

Experience using SAP or other MRP systems.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Knowledge of materials used within rolling stock or manufacturing environments.
MHE experience or licences.
