We’re looking for a Goods-In Inspector to join a busy manufacturing environment based in Waterbeach. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, attention to detail and pride in quality really matter.

The role

You’ll be responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming materials and components, making sure everything matches purchase orders and meets the required quality standards before it reaches production.

What you’ll be doing - Goods-In Inspector - Waterbeach , Cambridge

Receiving and checking incoming deliveries against delivery notes and purchase orders

*

Inspecting goods for damage, quantity and quality compliance

*

Reporting and logging any discrepancies or quality issues

*

Working with suppliers and internal teams to resolve delivery or inspection issues

*

Maintaining accurate stock and inspection records on inventory systems

*

Labelling, storing and moving goods to the correct locations

*

Supporting stock counts and audits when required

*

Keeping goods-in and storage areas clean, safe and organised

*

Following health & safety procedures at all times

What we’re looking for Goods-In Inspector - Waterbeach , Cambridge

*

Previous experience in a goods-in, inspection or warehouse role

*

Good understanding of engineering or manufacturing components (e.g. metals, fasteners, machined parts)

*

Strong attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset

*

Ability to read delivery notes, purchase orders and basic technical drawings

*

Comfortable using computers and inventory systems

*

A reliable team player with good communication skills

Nice to have Goods-In Inspector - Waterbeach , Cambridge

*

Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment

*

Forklift licence (or willingness to train)
