Governance Manager

Description

Duties of the Governance Manager:

• Design and implement governance frameworks and policies
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Coordinate risk management activities and promote a risk-aware culture
• Provide guidance to the board and senior management on governance matters
• Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment
• Plan and execute training programmes for staff on governance-related topics
• Prepare and present reports on governance, compliance, and risk management
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between different organisational levels

Profile

A successful Governance Manager should have:

• A degree in Law, Business, or related fields
• Proven experience in a governance, compliance, or risk management role in the Not For Profit/ housing sector
• Strong knowledge of governance principles and regulatory compliance
• Proficiency in risk management and internal control practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
