GP – Urgent Care Centre (UCC) & Out-of-Hours (OOH)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Practitioner (GP) to join our team, providing high-quality clinical care across our Urgent Care Centre (UCC) and Out-of-Hours (OOH) services.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and primary care conditions.

*

Provide safe, effective, and patient-centred care in both UCC and OOH settings.

*

Manage acute presentations, minor injuries, exacerbations of chronic conditions, and urgent medical needs.

*

Recognise and appropriately escalate patients requiring emergency or specialist care.

*

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and ensure safe handover where required.

*

Work collaboratively with nurses, healthcare professionals, and wider multidisciplinary teams.

*

Follow relevant clinical guidelines, safeguarding procedures, and local policies.

Essential Requirements

*

GMC registration with a licence to practise.

*

Must have used Adastra or been using Adastra, or similar systems.

*

Relevant GP experience, with experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or OOH services desirable.

*

Ability to work independently while recognising clinical limits and escalating appropriately.

*

Excellent communication, clinical assessment, and decision-making skills.

*

Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and high standards of clinical care.

*

Flexibility to work a range of OOH shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, as required
