GP locum Practice Nurse

Practice Nurse (Locum / Temporary)
Location: North Sheilds
Pay Rate: £30.00 - 35.00 per hour - dependant on experience
Job Type: Locum / Temporary
Hours: Full-time or Part-time shifts available

We are currently seeking experienced Locum GP Practice Nurses to join friendly and supportive GP practices in North Shields . This is an excellent opportunity for skilled nurses looking for flexible work within a busy primary care setting.

Primary care experience is essential. Applicants must have recent experience working within a GP practice and be confident managing a range of treatment room duties independently.

Key Responsibilities:

* Cervical screening (smears)

* Childhood and adult immunisations

* Travel vaccinations

* Wound care and dressings

* Chronic disease management (desirable)

* Health promotion and NHS health checks

* ECGs, venepuncture and blood pressure monitoring

* Infection prevention and control

* Accurate clinical record keeping using GP clinical systems

Requirements:

* Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration

* Recent GP Practice/Primary Care nursing experience (essential)

* Competent in treatment room procedures

* Excellent communication and patient care skills

* Up-to-date mandatory training and immunisation status

* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
