Grab Operative

About the Role:

The role is based at the Stockport Waste Water Treatment Works working alongside a HGV Grab Driver covering the Manchester and Cheshire areas. It is desirable to have experience but if not we are also seeking a person with the interest and enthusiasm to learn and progress. Full training will be provided.

Location: Stockport

Hours: 50 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 06.30am-16.30pm (with a 30 min unpaid break)

Salary: £33,800 per annum (overtime paid at X1.5)

Responsibilities:

• Working on site, as part of a team


• Muck away operations


• Assisting the grab driver with collecting and delivering aggregates


• Good customer service skills are required as dealing with internal and external personnel
  


• Complete all relevant paperwork associated with day-to-day tasks


• Using a tablet for data collation


• Assisting in backfilling, compacting trenches and patches (reinstatements)


• Excellent housekeeping of the site, adhering to all health and safety policies.

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

• Civils experience 


• Knowledge of using a handheld tablet 


• NPORS


• Banksman


• Manual Handling


• Emergency First Aid


• NRSWA


• EUSR National Water Hygiene


• Asbestos Awareness


• Slinger and Signaller


• Abrasive Wheels


• Drivers licence (desirable)


• HGV Class 2 licence (desirable)
