Graduate 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Salary: £93.00 – £110.00 (depending on experience)

Ortus recruitment are looking for an individual that is active, kind, bubbly and empathetic who is ready to make a different in children’s lives and advance in their career in the education sector. Similarly, we are looking for someone who is happy to do 1:1 work with children as well as group activities.

The Graduate must have some experience working with children.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering lessons

* Engage in 1:1 and group session with children

* Help children with their homework or class tasks

* Set up and clean the classroom throughout the day

* Support children with their physical, mental, emotional and social health

* Communicate with the children, parents and other teachers within the school

* Help with creating new activities to keep the children interested and make everyday exciting for them

Requirements:

* Face to face experience working with children in a classroom setting

* Experience working with SEN children (preferred)

* Passion for working with students with diverse needs

* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to difficult situations and behaviours.

* Experience with 1:1 work with children

* Able to communicate well with other people of all backgrounds

* Proactive, kind, dedicated personality

* Good time management skills and dedication to the job
